Hélène is French and has trained professionally in England, earning her qualifications with the British Horse Society, a globally renowned education system. She began riding at the age of seven, has competed in Jumping to 1.15m and has trained in Dressage and Eventing. Since 2019 she has taught a wide range of horses and riders in Riding Academies and training programs in the UK and US.

As a BHS Accredited Professional, she is qualified, First Aid trained, Safe Sport certified and adheres to the BHS Code of Conduct. Her coaching follows BHS and the Pony Club standards, ensuring the use of up-to-date, safe and proven methods.

Vera Guzman Webb

ASSISTANT TRAINER

Vera’s passion for horses began at just three years old with pony rides, and by six, she was taking lessons at Sweetwater Farms—where she has been riding ever since. She has dedicated over two decades to riding, training, and competing. Throughout her teens, Vera competed in the GSDHJA while also gaining hands-on experience as a working student on the Sweetwater Farms show team. She further expanded her skills as a catch rider and assistant coach to Roberta Jackson on the IHSA college show circuit.

With over 10 years of teaching experience, Vera enjoys working with riders of all ages and skill levels, from learning the basics to show team competitors striving for success. Her goal is to help each student build confidence, skill, and a lifelong love for riding.

Lindsey Kay Floyd

ASSISTANT TRAINER

Lindsey's aunt placed her on the back of a horse for the first time when she was just two years old. As a child, she spent summers riding on community bridle paths, state park trails and competed in Western Working Cattle Sports like Team Penning and Sorting. In her 20's, Lindsey worked in a show barn with a Dressage Trainer focussing on Andalusian horses. 

She joined Sweetwater Farms as a student in 2023 and has since been teaching novice lessons and schooling horses for the advanced program. 

Lindsey is a skilled exercise rider with hands-on experience in horse care and handling.  Her varied experience gives her the ability to confidently handle all types of horses. She ensures the Red Barn horses daily care and exercise routine with attention to detail and empathy.
